Taking this from a request I made in app for visibility on the feature base platform for other users to review. I believe there should be more target velocities for the echo mode. To me it is currently unclear what velocity this isokinetic training mode is targeting, but based on feeling when applying maximal force, it seems to be optimized for the 4 to 6 rep range, very much south of 1m/s, maybe as low as like .6m/s. This may be beneficial for pure strength development, but it may be helpful to have a faster and slower velocity, or even 3 velocities, to distinguish at the very least between maximal strength focused rep ranges and maximal power or muscular endurance focused rep ranges. Ideally, if I could part it out into 3 velocities, it would be something like a .5m/s option, .8m/s option, and 1.1m/s option to make it simple. Calling it something user friendly like “Maximal strength,” “Power,” and “Hypertrophy” speeds. This is really common in velocity based training using a tendo unit or something like it and I think that the Vitruvian would really differentiate itself from other products on the market by expanding the Echo options as the Apollo board already has similar, but slightly more limited capabilities (with less weight, which is a minus).
